An Autistic man stranded on a desert island requested the rescue team to give him a few more weeks before being resured

An autistic man stranded on a desert island after a shipwreck was reported to have asked the rescue team to leave him alone.

Eddie Albington, 45, had been missing since the wreck, and concerns had grown as he was the only crew member not quickly recovered.

Despite his family’s fears, it was said that he was “doing well” and even thriving on the island.

A rescue worker, Graeme Hart, noted that Albington appeared a bit thin but seemed to be in good spirits, considering his isolation.

It was shared that Albington reacted to the team’s arrival with apparent frustration, expressing a desire to stay.
