A woman contacted emergency services at approximately 1 a.m. on August 8, reporting that she discovered her boyfriend in bed with her seven-year-old daughter.
The individual identified in the police report is 29-year-old Delmer Orlando Ortiz Licona, who is also listed as Orlando Delmer-Ortiz at the Lubbock County Detention Center. During the 911 call, the woman was heard shouting,
“What are you doing to her?” She informed the dispatcher that she required police assistance at her residence, stating, “I just found my man, whoever lives with me, naked in bed with my daughter.”
She urged, “Please hurry, he’s running away, please hurry.” The woman indicated to the 911 operator that she was pursuing the male and added, “I’m not going to deal with it.” Subsequently, the dispatcher heard a loud noise, resembling a strike, followed by the sound of a young girl screaming and crying.
The dispatcher then heard someone request an ambulance. When questioned about the situation, the woman explained, “He’s in the alley; he just got in front of my car. He just got in front of my car, sir.”
